For students expressing an interest in commercial real estate law at the recent UCREW event hosted by CREW Orlando, the real estate practice group of the Orlando office of BakerHostetler hosted a half day program designed to introduce college students to the wide variety of diverse legal practice areas available within the commercial real estate sector. Thanks to the presenting BakerHostetler attorneys for providing valuable insights into the wide array of practice opportunities for students interested in a career in commercial real estate law. Speakers covered the topic of land use, environmental law, time share and hospitality. CREW Orlando member Jessica Malchow spoke on the topics of real estate transactions and financing; and Natalie Prager spoke on the topic of leasing. Through practical real life project examples, the team demonstrated the skills utilized in each specific discipline and how those disciplines impact commercial real estate projects as a whole.
